In the center of Flå, 9 km from Stavn Camping lies Vassfaret Bjørnepark. This bearpark shows the life and the animal life in Vassfaret. In 2006 there are born 2 bears and one elk.

There is a fully worked out walking- and leisure-map of Flå. This map is sold at the reception, at the touristinformation and the gasstation.

In the surroundings of Nesbyen there are also 25 naturetrails. Maps and traildescriptions can be bought at the reception or at the touristinformation in Nesbyen.

In Kolsrud and in Flå are 4 mountain climbing routes available. Maps and traildescriptions are in the reception. In Kolsrud (1 km from the camp-site) are the following routes:

At 4 kilometer away from the camp-site lies Gerds kanoutleie, here you can rent canoes and explore the Hallingdalselva. After a tour you wil be brought back to the starting point where you can barbecue near the river. Reservations can be made through Stavn Camping. Costs are about 250 Kronen per day (prices 2007)

30 kilometres from Nesbyen lies E.K.T. Langedrag, here you can experience the pleasure of comming in contact with the many local animals of Norway. In the park there are among others wolves, lynx, elk and reindeer.

Hallingdal Folkemuseum in Nesbyen has a unique collection of 27 old local buildings and fascinating exhibitions. The museum has also other locations with more buildings. These locations are in Dagali, Hol, Gol, Hemsedal and Ål.

A few kilometers from Nesbyen lies Gardnos meteorite crater. Here you can walk through the metiorite crater that has been arised 650 million years ago. There is also a museum that tels the story on how the crater has arised.

Hallingglas in Gol is a glassworks, here you can see the art of glass blowing. Also there is a shop at the museum where of course you can buy glassblown objects.

In Gol you can swim in the biggest tropical swimming pool of Norway. Sliding the waterslides or build up a tan under the "Sun" on a rainy day.

A living museum for the whole family. This railway runs from Vikersund up to Krøderen and is 26 km long. This makes it the longest museum of Norway. Krøderen station is a splendid example of an old Norwegian train station.

Villa Fridheim is one of the country's largest and most special timber buildings. The building has been renovated and is since 1986 a museum of Norwegian folk tales. The 30 meter high tower gives you a magnificent view over the lake Krøderen and the Norefjell.

Fuglehaugen at Gol is specialy for the holiday maker who can use more tension during his/her stay in Norway. After an adrenalin raising race the day can be closed with a nice barbecue party.

At Gol Motorpark you can take part in a race with quads or motorcycles for children from 6 up to 90 years old. In the colder months there are also snowscooter safari arrangements available.
